District Court Clerk
To provide clerical support for the preparation and maintenance of the court docket, case materials for all defendants, and the issuance of warrants and subpoenas for defendants to appear in District Court.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; three years general office/clerical experience, one year must be court or law related; ability to operate a personal computer; proficient in Microsoft Office, legal and court terminology; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; ability to make sound decisions in accordance with laws, regulations, office policies and procedures; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; ability to understand complex procedures and determine and prepare material from such procedures; ability to work in an independent fashion, with minimal supervision.. Court Clerk Certification within three (3) years of employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this position.
Preferred Licenses and/or Certifications: Notary Public, valid Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC)/National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Level 1, Basic Terminal Operator within six (6) months of employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this position; experience with Virtual Justice software and E-Cite; previous legal and/or courtroom experience. Court Clerk Certification.
